Quick Fixes Interior SOS This Easter!

I’m sure you are all looking forward to having an extra few days off this Easter and if you’re lucky enough some time to spend with friends, family and the little cherubs. If you are anything like me spending a little more time at home often means the chance to get on top of things around the home and start thinking about projects. If your paintwork is starting to look a little tired, the carpets are starting to look worn or you’re just bored of looking at the same four walls it might be time to draw up a list to prioritise and budget for your exciting home improvements. If your budget doesn’t allow for major or expensive changes, here are some little tips that will go a long way to help you fall back into interior love this Easter.

Painting an old piece of furniture really gives it a whole new lease of life, for a crisp and light feel white always looks great or for a more dramatic look go for rich, deep and dark colours to make a statement. Make sure you prep the furniture and use an acrylic paint and low and behold it’s like having a brand new item for a fraction of the cost, result! There are many paint brands to choose from but we highly recommend Zoffany paints for their exceptional coverage and outstanding depth of colour.

Have a move around! It sounds crazy but sometimes you can just get tired of looking at a room, there might not be anything wrong with what’s in it just lets face it you’re bored of it! Change the layout if the room permits you to, move the sofa’s, chairs and side tables it suddenly puts a whole new angle on your space and add a splash of colour and interest with some quirky accessories, cushions and a throw, voila!

Do it half halfheartedly – paint half a wall or add a feature wall! Half the paint means half the time right? Quick fix and super easy to achieve.

Let your floor be the feature – can you imagine how simple (boring!) this bathroom looked before the striking blue floor? The simplicity allows the bath tub to take centre stage and makes me want to soak in there all day.
