Isn’t hiring an interior designer really expensive?

Therefore, hiring an interior designer keeps your items exclusive and within your budget.
What do interior designers do exactly?
Interior Designers do just about anything to do with the design and decoration of your home or property in mind. This can range from freshening up a tired room or giving your entire home a new lease of life. Our design process includes many aspects from wallpaper, fabric, curtains and blinds, furniture, flooring, lighting, decorative accessories plus much more. Designers don’t just create colour schemes and mood boards we also organise and manage every step of the design process: decorating, curtain and blind making, installation and many more are all taken care of; all in aid of making your experience both pleasurable and exciting.
How do you charge for your services?
Visit our showroom, browse through our gorgeous library of suppliers and have a chat with us for informal, friendly and free advice. Hunters Interiors offer various design services. One of which is our design consultation package. Here, one of our talented Interior Designers will come in to your home in order to understand your requirements; they will observe the space and offer professional advice and innovative ideas. This is charged at £75 per hour (travel cost may be charged if the travel distance is over an hour away).
We also commission a room scheme mood board bursting with references, scale plans and elevations; giving you materials, colours, the style and fittings… all for £120. Also at Hunters, we offer visualisation sketches in colour, and photographic references at £100 per set. (Visit our design consultation for more details). We work by an invoice process and should you decide to use Hunter’s Interiors interior design services: we require a 50% deposit followed by the remaining 50% on completion of all works being carried out.
I have strong ideas about how I want things to look. Will the designer try to make me change my mind?
We may suggest alternatives and explain from a professional and experienced angle why we think they will work more successfully, but ultimately the decision is yours. We respect our client’s likes and dislikes and try to find things to fit in with them, not change them.
Do you do curtains?
Yes, we make curtains: Roman blinds, cushions and a variety of other soft furnishings. Get in touch today by sending an email, giving us a call or visiting our show room, and from here we can understand your measurements and requirements in order to provide an accurate quote. It helps for us to know the details; so if you would like your curtains interlined, lined or you’re looking for a particular heading (e.g. 3″ pencil type or a hand formed heading) then let us know. We only do soft furnishings with fabric(s) we have provided.
I’ve got an old sofa/chair that needs upholstering. Can you do this?
Yes. Here at Hunters we use a team of trusted companies to provide a reupholstery service that ranges from sofa, chair, head board, footstools and many more. Just get in touch with your upholstering needs and once viewed the furniture (either in person or by photograph) we will provide a quote for the cost and quantity of fabric needed. We only offer this service with fabric(s) we have provided.
I am thinking of re-designing more than one room and need some interior design advice, can you visit?
Yes, our friendly and helpful interior design team are always happy to provide a consultation service. Prices are £75 per hour plus travel expenses if over an hour away. Please contact us for further details or visit our showroom for free advice.
Do you have any wallpaper books to choose from?
Yes, we have a huge selection of wallpaper books to browse through from all our favourite suppliers. Have a look through our supplier list online or give us a call to see if we have any from a range you have in mind. We try to have the latest and current collections for the companies that are on our suppliers list.
Can I have some sample cuttings?
Yes, if it’s one of the companies on our suppliers list, then we just need the individual code and colour numbers and we can have the sample sent direct to your door. Or if you are not sure, visit our showroom in Uffington and browse through our extensive library of fabrics, wallpaper, paints and much more.
If I order the curtains/blinds with you, can you fit them for me?
Yes, we provide a seamless make-up and installation service to take all the hassle out and make using Hunters a truly enjoyable and stress free experience.
Do I have to use your Designer’s service for everything or just as needed?
We are happy to work with your interior design needs. There’s no obligation to use us any further after the initial design consultation but we are confident that you will love our ideas and won’t be able to resist!
Do you work with any particular styles?
Our team of interior designers are capable of working to suit any taste or style. We are happy to listen to your needs, offer professional advice and produce fantastic mood boards to suit anyone. We have years of invaluable interior design experience and knowledge of working on commercial and domestic properties.
Why do I need an Interior Designer if I already have an Architect?
Architects and Interior Designers work very differently. Most Architects work with structure and building design and prefer not to work with details of interiors, such as colour schemes, special awareness, flooring specifications, and wall and window treatments. Designers can create a master plan for the interior of your entire property or just on a room by room basis which can be implemented in stages, as your budget allows.
