So I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I officially joined the Hunters Interiors Team, my goodness what a year it’s been. I think it’s pretty obvious that I love my job my enthusiasm and passion for Hunters resonates and I feel well and truly blessed to be working in a field that not only do I LOVE but I have found a hidden gem.
Not only is Hunters Interiors a fabulous, well established and highly renowned interior design company, we have an incredible team that work so well together, provide an amazing high end service and have so many laughs in the process.
The thing I love about the most about this job is that it’s so varied one moment you could be wondering around a client’s home, the next you can be lifting and shifting heavy furniture, hosting Art Exhibitions, bumping into Pudsey Bear, jumping out of boxes and then finish the day off by Candy, Georgie and I doing circuit laps of the showroom trying to get warm. You can guarantee that no two days are ever the same at Hunters and there’s always a brilliant energy about the showroom.
When I walked through the door just over a year ago I was looking to gain some work experience, I had recently gain a interior design qualification and was keen to get into the field of Interior Design but wasn’t sure how to go about it. I had heard about Hunters Interiors and driven past it so many times so I plucked up the courage to ask if I could come in work for a couple of weeks and try and tap into the knowledge and experience that Candy and Georgie have gained over their many years in the industry. Little did I know this was the beginning of a fantastic journey for me and I literally can’t wait to see where else it takes me.
Here are a few of my favourite Hunters moments over the past year – I hope they make you smile as much as they do me.
The moment when the fire alarm was going off at Copthill Farm where our showroom is, Candy and I were delighted when the fire crew turned up once we were assured there was no fire we couldn’t wait for a photo opportunity in the fire engine.
Decorex Exhibition September 2014 at Syon Park sipping champagne with the famous designer Julian Chitchester was by far a massive highlight.
Our summer photo shoot in our courtyard – trying to rock our best Charlie’s Angel poses unfortunately and rightly so we couldn’t take ourselves seriously.
Our Art Exhibition in July 2014 a two day event with Pimms, marquee, nibbles and a selection of beautiful artwork from local artists was displayed and sold, it was a huge success
The Hunters Ladies and Right Click Recruitment Team went to The Burghley Horse Trials in September we had a fabulous day and even got a ride round on this estate buggy complete with hat and radio.
Our Advertorial in the Stamford Mercury which was a super proud moment for me when my daughter saw it and said ‘Look Mummy you’re famous’. Creating lasting memories for me and my family.
Popping into the Stamford Art Centre to buy a chocolate bar just before a client visit and we bumped into Pudsey Bear who wanted our photo.
Hosting our Autumn drinks party with King West Estate Agents of Stamford- here’s me keeping the champagne flowing and Georgie and Candy putting their feet up on our Zoffany sofa after a long evening.
Here’s Candy taking up my challenge of eating her crisps like a child one at a time on her fingers – she’s never one to turn down a challenge – top lady!
Herby and I having a discussion about the personalised Hunters chocolate bar that just ‘fell into my mouth’. He agreed salted sea salt caramel is the best flavour – I better have another though just to be on the safe side.
Going the extra mile in the name of interior design – matching our outfits to the new collections we are displaying in the showroom – shamelessly subconsciously!
Bringing a touch of quality to the great outdoors here’s Candy and I showing our excitement and appreciation for our new John Sankey Hawthorne chair – well it would be a shame not to take advantage of our beautiful surroundings.
The lovely Candy and my pooch Hercules who can often be found curled up underneath my desk keeping my feet warm.
Candy, Me and our friend Helen from Local Living Magazines clearly sharing the same thought…. ‘I want that handbag!’ I think we recommended it to half of Stamford. Why stop at interiors?
Happy Hunter’s Halloween – a brilliant night with quite possibly the best Halloween outfits I’ve ever seen.
Celebrating my first Christmas at Hunter’s and why not with a festive jumper and ridiculous head wear?
Christmas at The George in Stamford – embracing the festivities a maybe a little prosecco……
Candy and I working on some schemes, it’s a full time job alone just learning the collections!
I’m not sure what it is with us and this chair – we got some rather strange looks from our neighbours it’s safe to safe we’re known as ‘those quooky interior design lot’ I wouldn’t disagree but we’re great at what we do!
Amazing year, I’ve learnt so much and had the best time in the process. I can’t wait to look back on next years Anniversary photo’s!
